Charlize Theron Lets Her Daughter Do Her Makeup — and Jokingly Tells Professionals to 'Watch Out!'

Charlize Theron has a new glam squad member!

On Tuesday, the actress, 45, posted two photos on Instagram of an unblended makeup look that appeared to be the work of one of Theron's children, 8-year-old Jackson or 4-year-old August.

"To every make up artist out there….. watch out, you’ve got competition!" she joked in the caption.

The look is a stark departure from the flawless base makeup and sparkly eyeshadow we're used to seeing on the Bombshell star. Instead, her daughter applied a hefty amount of rust-toned blush, a dark smokey eye and black mascara (which smudged under Theron's lower lash line at some point).

Although the overall glam isn't quite red-carpet ready, Theron's daughter did nail her signature bold lip by brushing on a matte orange shade! "Gorgeous," Natalie Portman wrote in the comment section.

"Oh boy. Please don't fire me!!!" celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee quipped. While Chelsea Handler added, "It's beauteous."

Theron rarely posts photos of her two children, but in May, the star shared a sweet snap of Jackson resting on her chest on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road.

"I became a mom right before we started shooting," Theron wrote alongside the photo (in which Jackson's face is blurred out with a purple heart emoji), joking, "At least my child will forever have the fun fact of 'I spent most of the first year of my life in a war rig.'"

The Oscar winner adopted Jackson in 2012, and August in 2015. In December 2019, she spoke about the process during in an interview with NPR.

"I wanted to believe that somehow my child would find me in the way that we were just meant to be," the Bombshell actress said. "So I wasn’t specific with anything. … In whatever country they would allow me as a single woman to adopt, that’s where I filed. And it just happened to be that both my children ended up being American. They were born in the United States and they both happened to be African American."

"Everything that I hoped would happen during my adoption process did happen because these two babies were meant to be in my life — and they’re my children," she told the outlet.

That same month, Theron opened up to Pride Source about using the correct gender pronouns for Jackson, sharing that "it was important to let the world know that I would appreciate it if they would use the right pronouns for her."

The Monster star said that it hurt her daughter's feelings when incorrect pronouns were used, which is what prompted her to tell the Daily Mail last year that Jackson told her, "I am not a boy!" at age 3.

"I haven’t really talked about it ever since, again, because outside of just asking that respectfully of the press — and the world, hopefully — the rest is really private and it’s her story, and it’s really up to her to decide if she wants to share that," the mother of two said.

Scheana Shay Reveals She Is Pregnant Again After June Miscarriage: I'm So Excited to 'Be a Mom'

Scheana Shay is pregnant!

The Vanderpump Rules star, 35, reveals in this week's issue of PEOPLE that she and boyfriend Brock Honey Davies are expecting their first child together, after previously sharing in June that she had suffered a miscarriage.

"We got pregnant so quickly," says Shay. "My doctor told me to wait one period and ovulation cycle and then we could try again. It was the first and only time we tried and I had a feeling right away, but it was so soon to tell because I wasn't even close to missing my period yet. I just had a feeling."

As the couple was planning to head out on a trip to Sedona, Arizona, full of high-impact activities like off-roading, Shay opted to take a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test just in case — and the mom-to-be recalls "bawling [her] eyes out" upon seeing a positive result.

"I had to know before I missed my period and we went on this trip," she tells PEOPLE. "We still had an amazing trip, but it just all happened so quickly, which is so exciting but also really scary after having a miscarriage."

Scheana Shay Says She Would Likely Freeze Embryos with Boyfriend Brock Davies Before More Eggs

"After going through the miscarriage and knowing those signs," this time around, "it was comforting knowing, 'Okay, you're not spotting, you're not cramping, you still feel pregnant, you're still tired, your boobs still hurt.' "

"I had to keep convincing myself it's okay because last time I woke up one day and there's no other way to explain it, just that I didn't feel pregnant anymore," the Bravo star recalls. "I told my mom that and her heart broke because before my sister, she too had a miscarriage and the same thing — she said she just felt not pregnant one day."

"After a miscarriage, I was definitely even more aware of my body, but just so much more cautious and scared … I was just too afraid to lift up a 5 lb. weight. I was like, 'But what if that makes me have a miscarriage?' " Shay says. "It was every little thing, which I'm sure was driving Brock crazy because he's like, 'You're fine!' But I was just like, 'I need to make sure, I need to make sure' — and now we've made sure! Everything is good."

It helps the mom-to-be to keep up with her blood work — particularly her levels of progesterone — which gives her "anxiety" beforehand, but also peace of mind. In fact, her doctor even put her on supplemental doses of the hormone for a few weeks to give her a bit of a boost in that area.

"Once I got to 10 weeks, I went in for my appointment and [the doctor was] like, 'You can stop the progesterone now,' " Shay tells PEOPLE. "And I was like, 'But I'm not in my second trimester yet,' and he's like, 'Well, I just did an ultrasound; the placenta is giving the baby nutrients now. Your progesterone is being provided through there.' And I was just like, 'But are you sure?' I was questioning my doctor because I'm just so paranoid and he's like, 'You're fine, stop taking it, relax, start working out again.' "

Shay wants other women struggling with infertility and/or pregnancy loss to know that there are so many options on the road to parenthood, and has a big message from the heart: "Don't give up."

"There's so many alternative ways: Freeze your eggs, try [in vitro fertilization]," she says. "If that doesn't work, there's always adoption; there's so many kids in foster care who need to be adopted and need homes. There's always a way. If you truly want to be a mom, don't give up."

She also wants other hopeful mothers to know that their pain is not measured by how someone else feels based on how far along their pregnancies were: "I had so many people being like, 'Well, you were only six and a half weeks, at least you didn't hear the heartbeat yet.' And I'm like, 'I still was pregnant. I still planned a whole life for this baby. It doesn't matter if I was six and a half weeks or 12 and a half, I still lost something.' "

"I really have wanted to put that out there — that you're not alone, I feel your pain and I would not wish this on my worst enemy," Shay adds. "It's the absolute worst thing a woman can go through. I have always been an open book and really wanted to share my story so women know that I feel your pain and me too."

As for her own situation now, "Being a mom is something that I didn't think was necessarily going to be possible for me, which is why I froze my eggs twice last year," she tells PEOPLE. "I didn't know that I would be able to get pregnant on my own so I'm just so excited that we were able to do this naturally and that everything looks good. I'm so excited to have a healthy baby and hug my baby and just be a mom."

Inside Ashley Biden’s arrest record

Most people know Joe Biden is extremely close with his family, including his son Hunter Biden. The Democratic hopeful for president has known loss intimately, with his other son Beau passing away after a struggle with cancer in 2015 (via Marie Claire). His daughter Amy was tragically killed in a car accident in 1972 (via Biography). Biden has another daughter named Ashley, the daughter of his second wife, Jill. The social worker may lead a quieter life than her older brother, but she is still very much dedicated to public service, having worked for the Delaware Center for Justice and the Department of Services for Children (via Delaware Online).

But the 39-year-old youngest Biden child has also had some run-ins with the law. According to the New York Post, it was back in college that the now-wife of a plastic surgeon would have her first brush with police — Biden was a student at Tulane University when she was caught with marijuana. There were no charges pressed against her, the paper reports. But this minor offense wouldn’t be the last time Ashley Biden encountered legal problems.

Ashley Biden admits she isn't perfect and sees the best in people

Biden would have another brush with the law in 2002, when she was arrested for interfering and threatening statements made to police at a bar in Chicago. She was 21 at the time of the encounter (via Chicago Tribune). According to Headlines & Global News, the former Vice President’s daughter’s record is now clean following the incident. At the time, Joe Biden was a Delaware Senator, and his Tulane student daughter was visiting friends in the Windy City. Two of her friends were also involved in the incident — they were both charged with battery and resisting an officer. Although the three had charges dropped, AP reports the group apologized to police and received a verbal lashing from a judge in court.

Ashley would face one other scandal in 2009 when a video was released purporting to show her doing cocaine — she never faced any charges based on the footage (viaVanity Fair).

According to Delaware Today, she admits to having made mistakes, saying, “It doesn’t matter if it’s overcoming incarceration and poor choices — I’ve made plenty, too — or grappling with a sibling’s death, you can move forward and be better.” She adds, “Never judge a person until you walked a mile in his or her shoes,” and notes, “If you’re looking to make positive changes, you can’t hold onto the past.”

Ashley Graham Has Tried Her Breast Milk: It 'Tastes Good'

No shame! Ashley Graham surprised Allison Holker and Stephen “tWitch” Boss on Monday, October 26, when she told them that she has tried her own breast milk.

Ashley Graham’s Sweetest Breast-Feeding Shots With Son Isaac

The trio were playing Never Have I Ever on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when the DJ, 38, said, “Never have I ever tried breast milk more than once.”

When the model, 32, lifted her “Mama Has” paddle, Holker, also 32, asked, “What? You’ve tried breast milk? … I’ve never done that.”

Model Mom! Ashley Graham’s Baby Bump Album

Graham replied, “Yes, I put a little bit. You know, just to try a little bit. It tastes good.” The A New Model author added that she has “squirted it across the room” and fallen asleep while nursing “a million times.”

The Nebraska native welcomed her and Justin Ervin’s son, Isaiah, now 9 months, in January, while Holker and Boss share Maddox, 4, and Zaia, 11 months. The Dancing With the Stars alum is also the mother of daughter Weslie, 12, from a previous relationship.

Graham has been very vocal about her breast-feeding journey since becoming a mom, from pumping milk in an Uber to nursing while in a cafe. Earlier this month, the “Pretty Big Deal” podcast host showed her Instagram followers that “standing feedings are a thing now,” explaining, “He’s not walking, but crawling and pulling himself up everywhere!”

The American Beauty Star host spoke to Jessica Alba and Jada Pinkett Smith on October 13 about being mom-shamed for nursing. “[My] whole career is based off of being sexy [and my] breasts have been the forefront of many magazine covers,” Graham explained at the time. “I think that people just had to switch their minds [to realize my breasts] are multi-purposeful.”

Khloe Kardashian, Jana Kramer and More Clap Back at Parenting Police

She went on to call the parenting police “mean girls who grew up to be mothers.”

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model initially had a “really difficult” time feeding Isaac, she said in a March Instagram Story upload. “I had a lactation expert come over and help me because the first couple of days, my nipples were super bloody and it hurt,” Graham explained. “Part of the reason was because I was just jamming my boob into Isaac’s mouth and apparently there’s a technique that my lactation nurse taught me. The nipple goes at the nose and then you have to flip it all the way into the mouth and the whole areola goes into the mouth.”

Sam Smith Says They Want Children by 35, Are Hoping to 'Find a Boyfriend'

Looking ahead! Sam Smith opened up about their ideal timeline for having children.

Famous Fathers Who Had Kids Late in Life

“I want kids,” the singer, 28, told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on Monday, October 26. “I want all of it. I want to have kids. I want to be with the kids and I want to watch them grow and be with them every day. I want to be mummy. I’m definitely going to do that at some point, but I’ve still got more in me. I’ve still got ambition.”

The English star explained, “I try and settle it down all the time and play it down, but I’m ambitious and I would still want to sing to people and do this job. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Celebrity Babies of 2020: See Which Stars Gave Birth

The Grammy winner said they’ll “work [their] ass off” until that time comes. “Hopefully I’ll find a boyfriend — but they’re absolutely nowhere to be found anywhere in London,” they added. “I’ve been searching all over the place. Honestly, I’ve been on the frontline now for a good three years and it’s exhausting.”

Smith previously said that they wanted to have children by age 30. “When I get to 30 years old, I would like kids,” the “Stay With Me” singer said during a Hits Radio Breakfast Show interview in January 2019. “I’d like to step off from touring for a few years and venture into that. … I’d like two [kids]. I think I need to find a husband first though, but I can do it alone.”

Eight months later, the Oscar winner publicly announced their preferred they/them pronouns, which has given Smith a newfound freedom.

Proof Sam Smith Is Slaying the Makeup Game

“It sounds cliché to say it, but I feel so free,” Smith explained on Monday. “I feel so unafraid of failure, unafraid of my imperfections. … I don’t feel a lot of fear at the moment, because I just feel like I could do everything wrong and it would still be okay because I’ve got my own back. I really have my own back, and that’s a lovely feeling to feel.”

Jennifer Garner Says She's 'Not Having More Babies' After Fan Thought She Posted a Pregnancy Announcement

Jennifer Garner is shooting down pregnancy speculations after fans mistakenly thought she posted a "pregnancy announcement" on her Instagram.

On Sunday, the Peppermint star, 48, shared a photo of herself proudly showing off a house she carved out of a pumpkin for her mini jack-o'-lantern. Alongside the picture, which showed Garner smiling as she held her autumnal creation in her arms, the actress wrote in the caption, "When you and your jack-o’-lantern share a vibe…🎃🎃🎃."

However, many followers believed the post had a deeper message at first glance.

"I thought this was a pregnancy announcement for a hot second 😭😂," one follower commented, with several others replying in agreement.

"STILL NOT HAVING MORE BABIES 🙈🙈🙈," the mother of three — who shares son Samuel Garner, 8, and daughters Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 11, and Violet Anne, 14, with ex-husband Ben Affleck — responded. "Good grief, I didn’t even see it, i just saw matching smiles 🙈🙈🙈."

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

This was not the first time Garner had to set the record straight about pregnancy rumors on her Instagram. Last month, the Alias alum told a follower that she is not pregnant, "and never will be" again, after the commenter asked her whether she is expecting.

The comment came after Garner posted a video on Instagram from her family's farm in Oklahoma, introducing her fans to several cows that roam the land.

"I am 48, have three healthy kids, and am not—and never will be—pregnant. We can lay that pupper to rest," Garner wrote back to the commenter, as captured by the Comments By Celebs account. "Have I gained the Covid 19? Possibly. But that is another story 😂🍕🌮🍩🍫🍷."

In August, Garner opened up about how she had been spending her summer social distancing with her children amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, revealing that she indulged in a classic (albeit raunchy) comedy with one of her girls for the first time.

"Here's something I'm not very proud of: I even watched Austin Powers with her. Talk about not appropriate. But I just needed to see that laugh," Garner shared on Dear Media's Raising Good Humans podcast. "I felt like, 'Okay, so it's fake. I don't care.' We just have to remind our bodies of how to have joy and I'm just letting it happen."

The movie session came after Garner's child stopped finding as much comfort in one activity they used to share together on a regular basis: reading.

"I can't even list the amount of books I've read aloud to her — out of the blue, she just didn't want to read anymore," the mom said. "When [the coronavirus pandemic] started, it just didn't feel good to her. And we have been sneaking and watching America's Funniest Home Videos on my phone."

Chrissy Metz Praises This Is Us Crew for 'Working Around' Pregnant Mandy Moore's Baby Bump

Production on This Is Us season 5 is in full swing — and surprisingly, one of the least challenging parts is working around Mandy Moore's pregnancy, according to creator Dan Fogelman.

"We haven't really adjusted our plan. We're just going to work Mandy right till go time," Fogelman told reports with a laugh on Friday during a virtual panel, according to Entertainment Tonight. "Amongst the many challenges of this season of production, that's not a big one."

"We are so far ahead in scripts that we can compensate for things as need be," he continued. "Because our timelines are so split and because we live in so many timelines, there may be a brief period and window where you don't see a lot of old Rebecca on the show because she would have some really complicated explaining to do."

"But other than that, we're going to be sticking with the plan and we couldn't be happier for Mandy," added Fogelman, 44.

"I did tell Dan before I told most of my family, just because I wanted him to know in preparation for writing the season what to sort of expect," Moore, 36, said during the panel, per ET. "Oddly, I was nervous. I don't know why because I know you, Dan. But it was the loveliest exchange and conversation."

This Is Us Official Season 5 Trailer Teases Kevin with "Fiancée" Madison and Reunion with Randall

Chrissy Metz — who plays Moore's character Rebecca's daughter, Kate, on the NBC drama — told ET that she "was so excited, [she] cried" when Moore told her she was expecting.

Of how This Is Us will work around her baby bump, "Mandy gets to go back and forth in time; luckily she's pregnant sometimes and so she can kind of cover up her belly," said Metz, 40. "They've done a brilliant job of working around it. I don't know how, I guess it'll be magic."

Milo Ventimiglia (who plays Jack, Rebecca's husband) told ET that he was also "so excited" for Moore, sharing that she told her show colleagues the news while they "were all on a call talking about some stuff preseason."

"It was Dan and the whole cast and then Dan hopped off and she told all of us the news. It's wonderful news," said Ventimiglia, 43. "You get excited about that. Mandy and Taylor [Goldsmith], her husband, they are just the best people. They are the kind of folks who should be parents."

PEOPLE caught up with Metz last week, when the Breakthrough actress said she was "so excited" to hear the news that her friend and costar was expecting.

"I know that she plays my mom on TV and that we're friends, but I don't know, it was just really special and it made me very emotional," Metz said. "So I'm very, very happy and excited for them."

Moore and her musician husband, who married in an intimate backyard ceremony in November 2018, first announced their exciting baby news last month.

"Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021 💙," the proud mom-to-be wrote alongside several black-and-white snaps that showed the couple beaming and showing off Moore's baby bump.

This Is Us' two-hour season 5 premiere airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

Pregnant Sadie Robertson Says She Was 'Very Sick' with COVID-19 but 'Baby Huff Is Doing Great'

Sadie Robertson is on the mend after contracting the coronavirus.

On Monday, the Duck Dynasty alum shared a photo from her hospital bed, revealing in her caption that "one of the most challenging things" she has faced as of late has been her battle with COVID-19, which made her "very sick."

"I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild. I've definitely struggled through this one!" she wrote. "Thankfully baby Huff is doing great and healthy, and I am now healing as well. I'm no longer in the hospital (this pic was not from today) and i have just about fully recovered."

Pregnant Women Seem Unlikely to Pass Coronavirus to Their Babies, Early Studies Show

As the coronavirus continues to spread in the United States, many pregnant women are wondering what they can do to stay as safe as possible and limit their potential for exposure.

In an advisory on their website, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends expectant mothers to be extra vigilant about following existing precautions, as "available data suggest that pregnant women with COVID-19 may be at increased risk for more severe illness compared with nonpregnant peers."

While "No increase in the rate of mortality has been noted," the group says that "these data indicate an elevated risk of [intensive care unit] admissions and mechanical ventilation."

"Pregnant patients with comorbidities such as obesity and gestational diabetes may be at an even higher risk for severe illness consistent with the general population with similar comorbidities," the ACOG adds.

Huff and Robertson shared their pregnancy news Oct. 4, on their respective Instagram accounts. "SCREAMING WITH EXCITEMENT TO SHARE THIS NEWS! Baby we already adore you," the mom-to-be captioned a photo of the pair cuddled up on the couch and showcasing their sonogram, in part.

The couple opened up Wednesday on Robertson's WHOA That's Good Podcast about learning the good news, with Huff, 22, saying they weren't "not trying."  Noted Robertson, "I guess we shouldn't have been that surprised, but we were super surprised and so I didn't think I was pregnant at all."

After she found herself "ravenous" all day and had a vivid dream about being pregnant (with a son!), "I was like, 'You know what? Why don't I just take a pregnancy test? Why not? Just for funsies,' " she said. "So I take the pregnancy test and before I even got the results, I was like, 'Why did I even take that? I'm probably not pregnant.' "

And when it was positive, "I was freaking out — literally was laughing with tears running down my face.  Robertson continued. "I was just overjoyed and I was just thanking God because Christian and I have said, since we got married, we kinda left it in God's hands," she continued. "We want a baby when it's God's time for us to have a baby because we believe that it's a gift from God to have a baby."

Huda Beauty’s Naughty Nude Palette Includes a Brand-New Shadow Formula

On New Year's Eve at approximately 11:59 p.m., I made a promise to myself that I was going to steer away from neutral eye shadow palettes in 2020. Not because there's anything wrong with them, but because I already owned 27, and the time had come for me to start playing with color. Despite all the bullshit this year brought us, I did a pretty good job of sticking to that goal, however, I back-tracked when the new Huda Beauty Naughty Nude Eye Shadow Palette arrived at my door.

Although I do admit I'm a sucker for any good neutral palette, the Naughty Nude palette is different. It's more than just a beautiful lineup of shadows and innovative formulas (we'll get to that part later). This palette is all about being physically nude with yourself and embracing your personal sexuality.

Huda Kattan, the founder of Huda Beauty, exclusively tells Allure that she wants this palette to make people feel empowered. While growing up in the Middle East, Kattan struggled with expressing herself in a conservative environment, which partly inspired Naughty Nudes. "I want whoever buys this palette to feel in love with themselves, their bodies, their sexuality, and their minds," she says. Kattan adds that her original New Nude palette and the new Naughty Nude palette were both created to help redefine what "nude" means — it's not just a shade range.

The Huda Beauty founder also feels that right now, given the current state of the pandemic, this palette can help provide the self-love 2020 has made increasingly sparse. "It's our mission to give everyone the confidence to love themselves inside and out and to really feel empowered to be their sexiest self," she says.

With all that being said, let's get into what makes this palette hit so different.

If you've tried Huda Beauty's eye shadow formula before, I don't need to sell you on how good it is. But if you haven't, let me be the one to say that these shadows are creamy and blendable; the fall out is minimal, and the different textures are every eye shadow lovers' dream. This beauty includes eight mattes that are buttery and extremely pigmented, five metallics that can add subtle or out-of-this-world sparkle to the eyes, four marbled creams that have reflective hues, and one never-before-seen pearl-gloss hybrid, a unique formula that adds a glass-like glow to the lids. According to Kattan, that formula took two years to finalize (it was so worth it).

When I first got this baby in my hands, there were three shades that jumped out to me most: Provocative (a marbled lilac), Slippery (a pearl-gloss hybrid that's made of a clear gel and berry-colored pigments), and Shameless (a baby-pink metallic). When I first dipped into the palette, I realized that the best way to apply Slippery was with my fingers. The jelly texture works on a brush, too, but to get that extreme wet look, your fingers are the most effective. To give you a visual, here's the entire palette swatched on my arm:

Left image top to bottom: Filthy, Passion, Shameless, Please Me, Hypnotic, Hard, Untamed, Irresistible, Flower Power, Rough.

Right image top to bottom:  Spicy, Arouse, Slippery, Tantric, Naughty, Provocative, Desire, Juicy.

Here's how I used it. Because I wanted to create a really fall vibe with the palette, I focused on the more brownish shades, and I dipped into a few of my favorite pans to create this look:

To achieve it, I first dipped into the shade Juicy, a neutral matte, and dusted it on my entire lid as a base. Then I deepened it up with Arouse, a burnt orange, working that into my crease and outer corners. To add some sparkle, I patted Flower Power, a yellow-gold marble, all over my lid. I darkened my lower lash line with Arouse to match the top and added more glitter in my inner corner with Tantric, a golden metallic.

This palette is absolutely stunning, and it should be on everyone's vanity, but the story behind it makes it even more special. That being said, did I break my New Years' resolution? Yes. Was it extremely worth it? Hell yes.

The Huda Beauty Naughty Nude Eyeshadow Palette, $67, will be available starting November 1 on
